PAGAN ISLAND IN MARINE'S SITE June, 2013: They're at it again. We tried saving Farallon de Medinilla from live fire bombing back in 1998. In 2002 a court ruling ordered the U.S. Navy to stop the bombing until the Dept. of Defense came into compliance with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. However, in 2003 the Navy was granted an exemption by the U.S. Congress. Now the U.S. Marines are targeting Pagan Island. Read about it here. Read our stories about Farallon here! Between December 30, 2011 and January 5, 2012, two whales followed the fishing boat, Ocean Pearl, all the way to Honolulu - from a fishing area 400 miles north of Hawaii. Read the story and view dramatic video footage here.
